According to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, 12,860 applicants have enrolled for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination in Jigawa State.
This was disclosed in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital, by JAMB Public Relations Officer in the state, Mukarram Bello Adamu.
“The candidates registered in 16 Computer-based test centers across the state,” Adamu said.
According to him, the breakdown of the registration figures shows that JAMB State Office registered 1,740 candidates, Federal University Dutse centers registered 4,936 candidates, and Bunyaminu Usman Polytechnic, Hadejia, registered 1,622 candidates.
Other centers include Future Map Foundation Centre, Hadejia, with 1,662 candidates, Jigawa State College of Education, Gumel Centers with 2,287 candidates, and Jigawa State College of Advanced and Remedial Studies, Babura, with 134 candidates.
Adamu said Jigawa State Institute of Information Technology, Kazaure, registered 569 candidates, Hussaini Adamu Federal Polytechnic, Kazaure, registered 596 candidates, and Sule Lamido University, Kafin Hausa, registered 28 candidates.
Other centers are BHT Inter systems Dutse, with 1,091 candidates, Al Hikmah CBT Center Birnin Kudu, with 728 candidates, and G- City Collage of Nursing Sciences, Gwaram, with 678 candidates.
Candidates were informed by the PRO that UTME registration expires on February 28 and UTME PIN vending closes on February 26.
On the direct entry, Adamu said that, “The Direct Entry Registration will commence from March 2, 2026, to April 25, 2026, at JAMB office Dutse only.”
Therefore, he encouraged anyone who are interested to register for the examination as soon as possible.
“The registration process is ongoing, and candidates are advised to complete their registration before the deadline,” he reaffirmed.
The JAMB PRO, however, assured candidates of a seamless registration process and encouraged them to visit the JAMB website for further information.
