The debate over her son Jayce’s last name has finally been addressed by media personality Linda Ikeji.
The blogger posted a picture of her six-year-old kid and his cousin Ryan on Tuesday, which sparked a contentious discussion among followers and ignited the dispute.
As soon as fans discovered that the blogger had referred to her son by her last name in the caption, they quickly flipped the cute post and caption about the kids’ vacation around.
To dispel rumors of a name change, Linda posted a clarification on her Instagram story saying that her son has always had her surname since birth.
The blogger stressed that her son will make these options when he reaches adulthood, expressing shock at the idea that she would change her son’s identity.
Linda said she has not changed her son’s surname as he has always been an Ikeji from birth.
She wrote: “Just to be clear. I’ve never ever had to change my son’s surname.
“He’s been an Ikeji right from when he was born! Where do I have the time or patience to be changing names?
“Changing it and keeping his surname (Ikeji) will be up to him when he ages. Food for my Junior colleagues”.
