The sister of the former minister of power and candidate for governor of Oyo State for the All Progressive Congress, Adebayo Adelabu, has been abducted in Ibadan along with her twin children.
The event happened on Wednesday in the state’s Ibadan South-West Local Government region’s Challenge region.
A crimson automobile with its doors thrown open and obvious bodywork damage can be seen in a video that was taken at the site and is making the rounds on social media.
Fragments of the driver’s seat window glass were scattered across the dusty floor.
Men and women in casual clothing were among the many spectators who gathered around the car, pointing and examining its appearance and interior.
In the video, a clearly concerned woman can be heard stating that the victim is the younger sister of Adelabu’s well-known moniker, “Penkelemesi.”
“She is the last-born (of the family) of Bayo Adelabu, Penkele,” stated a different male voice in the video.
