Ademola Adeleke, the governor of Osun State, has announced a free concert in Osogbo that would include his son, Adebayo Adeleke, better known by his stage name B-Red, along with other musicians from both inside and outside the state.
In advance of the 2026 Osun governorship election, his nephew David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, was appointed Head of Youth Mobilization for the governor’s reelection campaign.
Adeleke said, “Osun, this free concert is for each and every one of you,” in a post on his X account on Wednesday. I’m thrilled that my son @B_RedHKN, his friends in the entertainment business, and emerging musical performers from all across Osun are bringing the vibrations home!
Peruzzi, CDQ, Fido, Shina Peters, May D, Sinarambo, Peller, and Kolu Wahala were among the acts scheduled for the event, according to a poster posted by the governor.
“This Get Out to Vote Concert is for everyone in Osun State — Accord, ADC, APC, LP, PDP – no political divide, just pure Osun energy,” he added, characterizing the event as inclusive and nonpartisan.
Adeleke added that the event will take place at the Technical Field in Osogbo on Friday, April 24, and that locals are welcome to attend for free. She encouraged participation with the slogan, “Come out, groove, and let your voice count!”
The announcement coincides with Osun’s political activity picking up steam ahead of the governorship election on August 8, 2026, with parties already preparing for statewide campaigns.
