Governor Biodun Oyebanji has been congratulated on his reelection to a second term as governor of Ekiti State by the Forum of State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, which is made up of the chairman of the party’s 36 state chapters as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
Oyebanji’s success in the June 20, 2026, governorship election, according to the chairs, was a clear endorsement of both the people’s desire for more of his developmental advancements and his first-term performance.
Oyebanji defeated his rivals in each of the state’s 16 local government areas and all 177 wards to win the governorship.
In a statement released in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the forum’s chairman, Cornelius Ojelabi, praised the residents of Ekiti for opting to stay progressive in order to take advantage of more of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope initiatives.
The victory, according to the APC chairman, was “a well-deserved feat and a confirmation of the people’s trust and confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s leadership quality.”
“We write to express our hearty congratulations to you on your re-election as governor of Ekiti State for another four-year term,” the statement said in part. This is a well-earned accomplishment that demonstrates the public’s faith in your leadership.
Ekiti people adore you and value your programs, as seen by their support of you in breaking the curse of not having two consecutive terms.
To show the world that they still want more of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s developmental strides, they gave you 85% of the votes and victory in all 16 local government areas.”
