The capital of Zamfara State, Gusau, was stormed by bandits early on Tuesday morning, and Mansur Kaura, the manager of TAJ Bank, Gusau, was taken hostage at his home.
The bandits reportedly broke into Kaura’s home at Gidan Dari Bypass on Tuesday morning at around 12am in the morning and took him to an unknown destination.
“The bandits entered the area around 12am and started shooting sporadically, they gained access to his house and whisked him to an unknown destination,” a close source stated.
The incident was confirmed by Yazid Abubakar, the spokesperson for the Zamfara State Police Command, who also stated that a team of tactical police operatives from the state command is currently on the trial of the kidnappers in an attempt to rescue him unharmed.
