The speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Olamide Oladiji has assured the people, that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu will resume duties soon.
Governor Akeredolu last week handed power to the deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa after embarking on medical treatment.
Oladiji, who called on lawmakers to always remember the governor in their prayers, said they would soon witness a transformational change.
He spoke at a meeting with Principal Officers of the House in his office, and called on his colleagues to continue working together as a formidable team for the overall development of the state.
Oladiji also promised to prioritise members’ welfare, even as he urged them to always keep to house rules.
Majority Leader Oluwole Ogunmolasuyi thanked the Speaker for his leadership role and promised that everyone would work together to achieve a common goal.
