The 8.6km Ediene Abak-Ikot Ekan Road project and the 7.86km Ring Road III dual carriage projects, which span Idoro Road in Uyo through Ibiono Ibom to Itak in the state’s Ikono Local Government Area, have been given the green light by Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State.
The governor thanked the people of Uyo senatorial district for voting him to office a year ago, according to a statement made yesterday by Dr. Essien Ndueso, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Research and Documentation. Ndueso also noted that the road projects under the governor’s administration began in Eket senatorial district and later moved to Ikot Ekpene senatorial district before Uyo.
The governor urged the populace to work with the contractor in charge of the road improvements, pledging that his administration’s infrastructure expansion initiative will have a good impact on every region of the state.
