During a suspected cult attack on Friday in Lagos’ Sangotedo neighborhood, a security guard known only as Stanley was shot and killed.
According to information, cultists broke into the nearby Royale Estate between 10 and 11 p.m. and started firing randomly.
The victim was allegedly shot in the head after being shot more than three times, according to a source who asked to remain anonymous out of fear of being attacked.
They simply broke inside the estate and opened fire. Before they fired into the air and left the area, Stanley, the security guard on duty, was shot multiple times, including in the head, according to the source.
Users of the social media site NaijaConfra published videos and messages about the incident, claiming that suspected cult members were responsible for the attack
The victim was shot by two unidentified motorbike riders, according to Lagos State Police Command spokesperson Abimbola Adebisi, who confirmed the event on Monday.
“The thing happened. Two unidentified people on a motorcycle shot him. An investigation into the incident has been started by the command. “There isn’t a suspect yet,” she stated.
The incident occurred weeks after suspected cultists in Yaba, Lagos State’s Abule Ijesha neighborhood allegedly killed Godwin, a security guard.
According to reports, the attackers arrived in a car, allegedly attacked Godwin with an ax, and shot him close to his duty post. According to reports, the attack also injured three other people.
