Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has appointed Mr. Andrew Momodu as commissioner-designate.
Momodu’s nomination would increase Okpebholo’s executive council (exco) to 29 commissioners if approved by the House of Assembly.
Momodu is a seasoned political administrator and public affairs professional with expertise in administration, security coordination, and democratic participation, according to a statement released by Secretary to the State Government Musa Ikhilor.
According to the statement, Ikhilor has over the years occupied key strategic positions in the political and governmental structures.
Ikhilor earlier served as special adviser on security and public order and contested for the House of Representatives seat, but lost.
The statement said: “Governor Okphebolo remains committed to assembling a team of competent and visionary leaders to drive the administration’s agenda of sustainable growth, inclusive development and improved service delivery across the state.”
