Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the confirmation and appointment of 32 officers as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.
The appointments were announced on Monday in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Ebenezer Adeniyan, and shared on the state’s X handle.
The appointees include Mrs. Tayo Ogundare, Mrs. Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs. Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs. Oluwakemi Akinyemi, and Bamidele Daisi.
Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs. Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs. Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs. Funke Adelayi, Dr. Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr. Mrs. Abike Ilawole, Tpl. Abimbola Tofowomo, and Kolawole Kayode.
Other newly confirmed Permanent Secretaries are Dr. Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surv. Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs. Toyin Awotoye, and Ayodeji Ayeku.
Subject to approval by the Ondo State House of Assembly, the governor also confirmed important nominations to statutory positions, such as Dr. Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Governments and Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General.
“The confirmation and appointments take effect from 1st February, 2026.
“The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be held on a date to be announced later,” the statement added.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s continuous attempts to realign the state civil service for improved efficiency and service delivery include this most recent round of promotions.
It comes after previous appointments and gestures, such as the distribution of operational vehicles to earlier batches of Permanent Secretaries.
