According to the Abia State governor to Alex Otti, the country has suffered a great loss with the passing of Dr. Pascal Dozie, the founder of Diamond Bank Plc.
Dozie was a well-known businessman and an icon in the banking sector, according to a statement made by Otti on Wednesday in Umuahia by his media assistant, Ferdinand Ekeoma.
It would be recalled that the late Dozie, also the first Chairman, MTN Nigeria, died on Tuesday, just a day before his 86th birthday.
According to Otti, Dozie was a successful individual who left a lasting impression on a variety of fields related to human endeavour.
“He was a renowned entrepreneur, investor, and statesman who recorded visible achievements across different fields of human endeavour.
“He impacted humanity positively and wrote his name in gold in many areas. It is fair for us to say that he led a fulfilled life,” he said.
Otti added that there was a significant void left by his passing that would be challenging to replace.
“His contributions to society will be a lasting legacy; he was a source of inspiration to the younger generation,” he said.
Otti prayed for his soul to rest in peace and offered his condolences to the family.
