The Police Command in Zamfara says its operatives have neutralised two bandits and repelled an attack on a community in Tsafe Local Government Area.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Mohammed Shehu, on sunday.
He said “The Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Police Command CP Kolo Yusuf psc, has commended the resillience of the Joint Police and Military deployed to Curtail the menace of Armed Bandits and other Criminal Elements in the State.
He made the commendation following the feat recorded during a fierce confrontation with suspected bandits in a community under Tsafe LGA, where an attempted banditry attack on the community was repelled and two suspected bandits neutralised while others fled with possible gunshot wounds.
The Commissioner, however, urged residents of the state to work with security agencies in an effort to restore security in the state.
