The three kidnapped Fouani brothers and two other individuals have been rescued, according to confirmation from the Lagos State Police Command.

On June 14,  It was revealed that three Lebanese brothers who work for Fouani Nigeria Limited, a company situated in Lagos, were kidnapped by armed men in Lagos.

It was said that the unnamed Managing Director, together with Abbas Fouani, Youssef Fouani, and Amtal Fouani, were kidnapped on Friday at around 6pm when they were returning in a boat back to Victoria Island from their factory in Apapa.

It was disclosed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police command spokesperson, that the three brothers had been rescued.

He revealed that Marine Police personnel had rescued the three brothers last night at Orugbo Iddo.

Hundeyin confirmed they have been rescued and reunited with their family.

He said: “Yes five of them were rescued. Three Lebanese, the boat captain and his assistant.

“They were rescued late last night in Orugbo Iddo. Our Marine Police, with the support of the Nigerian Navy, brought them to shore.

“Thereafter, our tactical team in the area took them home on Banana Island in the early hours of today.”
