In response to the ceaseless seizing of land illegally throughout Lagos State, the House of Assembly decided to convene a public hearing to discuss the matter Yesterday.
Prior to moving the resolution under “Matters of Urgent Public Importance,” Mr. Kazeem Olayinka, the member for Mushin Constituency 2, implored the House to call a meeting with the relevant parties to discuss the issue.
“Land grabbing has become a major problem that is beyond disturbing,” House Speaker Mudashiru Obasa stated in his speech. Due to the existence of some individuals who have converted themselves into land grabbers, some people have been injured, Died, while others have been imprisoned without charge.
