Ahead of the next local councils and state congresses, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Rivers State held its ward delegates congress in the 319 wards and 23 Local Government Areas of the State.
At the Port Harcourt City Local Government Council area (PHLGA), which served as the venue for the 20 wards of the Council, a total of 100 persons (delegates) were elected, five persons from each of the wards.
Three national officials were reportedly on ground to supervise the exercise across the three senatorial zones of the state, particularly Eleme, Port Harcourt City, and Omoku areas.
However, It was observed that the exercise was not made public, as supporters of the State Governor Siminialayi Fubara appeared unaware of the development.
