Jonathan Zwingina, the former majority senate leader reportedly passed away.
Zwingina was also the former Director-General of the MKO Abiola campaign Organisation in the June 12, 1993, presidential election.
It was reported that the politician, who was born in Adamawa State, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, at the age of 70, in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, even though his family has not yet officially confirmed his passing.
He was reported to have died after a protracted illness.
In the Senate, the former legislator represented the Adamawa South Senatorial District. He joined the Peoples Democratic Party at its inception but eventually switched to the All-Progressives Congress.
