Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Management and staff of Fresh FM, Ibadan for winning the Radio Station of the Year award at the Nigeria Media Nite-Out Awards held in Lagos on Sunday.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Taiwo Adisa praised the professionalism, forthrightness and ethical values displayed by the media house within a very short while of hitting the airwaves.
“We are particularly impressed that Fresh FM is not only doing our people proud, but it is also further reinforcing the strong media culture that has all along been branded the vibrant Lagos/Ibadan Press.
“It is not surprising that the Radio station has become the rave of the moment and shot to the lead of the waves within a short time, looking at the dedication and the drive of the management and staff.
“We are equally impressed that the Radio station is winning the laurel, beating nine other stations and making it the first time a station outside of Lagos was winning the award.
“While congratulating the management of Fresh FM, and especially the music icon, Dr. Yinka Aiyefele, we can only urge you to keep up the good works and maintain the high standards you have established within these few years of operation.”
