The Bauchi State police Command has arrested a two-man homosexual syndicate that is suspected of targeting innocent minors for unnatural and indecent acts.
This information was made known by the Command through its Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, in a press statement issued on Thursday.
He stated that, “On 8th January 2026 at about 2130hrs, a concerned father reported at the Divisional Police Headquarters, Tilden Fulani, in Toro LGA, that his son (name withheld), aged 8, was deceitfully lured with sweets and tiger nuts by one Mohammed Saifullahi, aged 16, who subsequently had homosexual intercourse with him on multiple occasions.”
“During interrogation, the suspect confessed to having been engaged in the act for over three years and named his mentor as one Shaibu Sulaiman, aged 17,” he added.
Preliminary investigation showed that the suspect was drawn into the alleged homosexual activity by 17-year-old Shuaibu Sulaiman, who has also been arrested.
Shuaibu Sulaiman disclosed that he committed the unnatural act for the first time after sharing a two-in-one bed with a friend, Saifullahi Mohammed.
Additionally, it was found that Saifullahi Mohammed, the initial suspect, had sexually assaulted four minors between the ages of seven and ten prior to his arrest.
As a result, all of the detained suspects have admitted their guilt while the investigation is ongoing. Once the inquiry is over, the suspects will be profiled and charged in court.
The regrettable move infuriated Sani-Omolori Aliyu, the Commissioner of Police, who cautioned other like-minded people to change their ways, as anyone detained under such behavior will not be spared.
He also urged guardians and parents to be curious about their wards’ locations.
