President Bola Tinubu has congratulated BUA Group Chairman, Abdulsamad Rabiu, on his 65th birthday, hailing him as one of Africa’s foremost industrialists.
In a statement dated August 3, 2025 and released by the Special Adviser to the President on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Abdulsamad Rabiu as one of Africa’s most accomplished businessmen. He noted that Rabiu’s investments have significantly transformed vital sectors of Nigeria’s economy, showcasing the impact and benefit of vision, discipline, and ambition.
The president specifically hailed the impact of the “Abdul Samad Rabiu Africa Initiative, which continues to deliver landmark interventions in education, health, and social development across Nigeria and the continent, quietly but consistently improving lives, building institutions, and expanding access to opportunity.
“Abdul Samad Rabiu is a builder in every sense.
“He has built industries, empowered people, uplifted communities, and continues to invest in the future of our country—not for applause, but out of duty and conviction. Nigeria is proud of him, and I am proud to call him a trusted partner in our nation’s progress,” the statement added.
President Tinubu prayed for continued strength, wisdom and good health for the BUA Chairman.
