President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a high-level security meeting at the State House with service chiefs and Inspector-General of Police.
Although the purpose of the private meeting is still unknown, given the personalities in attendance, it is probable that the recent attacks on military bases and the escalating insecurity unease that is engulfing the nation will be the major topics of discussion.
The meeting attendees are Christopher Musa, the chief of defence staff; Olufemi Oluyede, chief of army staff; Hassan Abubakar, the chief of air staff; Emmanuel Ogalla, chief of naval staff; and Kayode Egbetokun, the inspector-general of police.
Further details will be provided as the situation unfolds.
