Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, has appointed two new officials.
In addition to appointing CP Ayodele Sonubi (retd) as Executive Advisor (Rule of Law Enforcement), the governor also appointed Dr. Aderemi Ayodele as the Oyo State Advisory Council.
Sonubi’s appointment is effective as of April 1, 2025, whilst Ayodele’s appointment is effective immediately.
The appointments were announced in a letter signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, according to a release on Friday issued by the Special Adviser (Media) to Oyo State Governor, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, and made available to newsmen in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The release added, “Dr Ayodele is a former Chairman of the Oyo State Local Government Service Commission.
“He had previously served as the Chairman of Ibadan North-West Local Government.
“Sonubi is the immediate past Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command.”
Makinde charged the new appointees to discharge their duties with commitment, dedication and loyalty to the state.
