Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to his loss at the 2026 Grammy Awards, expressing gratitude to his wife, Chioma, for her unwavering support during the moment.
Davido, who was nominated for Best African Music Performance category, admitted that the loss affected him deeply and initially made him reluctant to attend the Grammy after-party.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, the award-winning artiste revealed that Chioma offered him reassuring words that lifted his spirits and restored his confidence.
“I said, ‘Baby listen, we lost again, let’s not go.’ She said, ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.’ We outside. My ride or die. She dey my back, active geng,” Davido wrote.
In a separate response, Chioma reiterated her unwavering support and belief in her husband, writing, “You already know that you’re the perfect one.”
