A 38-year-old man named Nsikak Kingsley has been detained by the Ondo State Police Command on suspicion of killing his father, Adone Peter, by beating him at Oda Community in the state’s Akure South Local Government Area.
DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the Police Public Relations Officer, made this announcement in a statement on Thursday.
Jimoh claims that after an argument with the dead that allegedly resulted in physical assault, the suspect carried out the heinous deed.
According to the announcement, “A 38-year-old man named Nsikak Kingsley has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command, led by Commissioner of Police CP Felix Ohagwu, for his alleged involvement in the death of his biological father, Adone Peter, aged 65.”
”Residents of Oda Community, Akure South Local Government Area, Ondo State, are deeply concerned about the unfortunate occurrence that occurred there.
According to preliminary investigation, the suspect allegedly got into a furious disagreement with his father, which turned into a physical assault. The dead is said to have suffered serious injuries during the altercation, especially to the head. He was sent to a hospital right away for critical care.
Unfortunately, the attending physician confirmed he was dead while receiving treatment despite the efforts of medical personnel.”
He continued by saying that his brother filed a report at a local police station, which prompted the command to take action and capture the suspects.
