Ekerin stated that the family is requesting public assistance to pay for funeral expenses in a GoFundMe effort.
We are deeply saddened and heartbroken by the loss of our dear Taiwo Ekerin, who died after an unjustified attack on a night out.
Ekerin was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, and friend who was born on December 25, 1984. His loss left an unfathomable hole in the lives of everyone who knew and loved him. He had a unique affinity with his twin brother.
”Above all, Taiwo was a loving father to his daughter, who must now deal with life without her father. He was well-known for his warmth, generosity, sense of humor, and unconditional love for everyone around him. His life was snatched way too soon, and our family is finding it difficult to deal with this terrible loss.
As we get ready to bury Taiwo, we are requesting assistance to pay for his funeral and provide him with the respectable send-off he deserves. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease the financial burden on the family during this extremely difficult time,” the petition stated.
Out of the £10,000 target, £3,710 has been raised as of the time this report was filed.
