Bello emerges as APC Kogi gov candidate, Bewa, Irukera kick

The current Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has emerged as the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, in just concluded primary election on Thursday.

He surveyed 3,224 votes to emerge as the champion in an essential challenged by 10 competitors.

The senator was trailed by Dr Babatunde Irukera who surveyed 109 and Hassan Baiwa who surveyed 44

Different outcomes as declared by the returning official are Yahaya Audu (10 votes),

Sani Lulu Abdulahi, (7 votes), Bashir Gegu (4 votes), Blessing Ekele (0) Iyoma Hadiza (0), Yakuba Muhammed (0) and Dalami Muhammed (0).

Declaring the outcome after the end of surveys at 6pm, the Governor of Jigawa State, Badaru Abubakar, who was the returning official, encouraged representatives to acknowledge the aftereffect of the race in compliance with common decency.

He put the absolute number of representatives at 3,500.

In any case, Irukera said the race was loaded with inconsistencies, including that the activity missed the mark regarding adequate standards.
