As the upcoming Premier League season draws near, Michael Carrick has urged Marcus Rashford to play a significant part, characterizing the attacker as a player who offers something unique to the squad.
Rashford has made a full recovery and is still part of Carrick’s plans for the upcoming season.
Carrick was reported as stating, “Rashford is our player and he’s come back great,” in a post made on X by Fabrizio Romano on Thursday.
“He gives us something a little bit different, and I’ve known him for a long time.” Carrick remarked.
The remarks highlight Carrick’s faith in Rashford as the team gets ready for the Premier League season to begin.
Carrick also voiced confidence about the next campaign, stating that the club is eager to start the new season.
After temporarily departing Manchester United in pursuit of regular first-team action, Rashford spent the 2025–2026 season on loan at Barcelona.
During his stay in Spain, the England attacker created an impression by competing at the top level and learning a lot about Barcelona’s offensive scheme.
