Makinde sends additional commissioners list to Assembly

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, on Thursday forwarded the additional list of nine commissioner-nominees to the Assembly for screening and approval.

Recall, that Makinde had earlier sent seven nominees to the Assembly and they have been screened by the lawmakers.

The Deputy Speaker, Muhammed Fadeyi who presided over the thursday plenary, brought up the matter under message from the executive.

Fadeyi read the names of the nine Commissioners-nominee sent by Makinde.

The list include: Mr Abiodun Akinkonmo, Mr Segun Olayiwola, Dr Wasiu Olatubosun and Prof Abdulwaheed Soliu.

Others are: Mr Majeed Mogbojunbola, Mr Olasunkanmi Olaleye, Mr Williams Akinfunmilayo, Prince Dotun Oyelade and Mr Obafemi Ademola Ojo.

Out of the nine names, three people including Olatunbosun, Olayiwola and Olaleye are returnee commissioners while others served in various capacities during Makinde’s first term in office.

The House ruled that the nominees should appear for screening on Tuesday, 25th of July, 2023
