There is noticeable tension in Iganna, a town in the Iwajowa Local Government Area of Oyo State, following a deadly attack on the police station in the community.
It was gathered that the attack, which happened on Tuesday night, was carried out by some hoodlums.
A source in the area told newsmen that the incident had triggered anxiety in the area.
He said, ” Two persons were killed including a police officer but you know it’s only a doctor that can confirm if someone is dead or not.
“The crisis is within the people in the town and not herdsmen attack.”
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Adewale Osifeso, when contacted, said that the police had begun investigation into the incident.
He said, “Investigation has commenced into the matter. Updates would be provided accordingly.”
