The lives of two adult males have been claimed in an alleged cult conflicts attacks in Lagos and Ogun States.

According to reports, the second incidence happened in the Magboro region of Ogun State, while the first event happened on Saturday near the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka, in Yaba.

In the Akoka incident, the victim was allegedly attacked by roughly six suspected cultists before being hacked to death.

The attack on Tuesday was described as a possible retaliation by a police source who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to talk on behalf of the command.

“The victim was attacked along the axis leading to the school gate, and what started as a confrontation led to a fight. He was stabbed in the head in the process. It was later discovered that the assailants were suspected cultists,” the source said.

The body of the deceased was spotted on the side of the road in a video that was posted on Tuesday.

Abimbola Adebisi, the state police public relations officer, verified the occurrence and stated that one suspect had been taken into custody.

“One suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident. Investigation is ongoing,” she said.

The report stated that in Magboro, Cegaga, a suspected member of the Eiye cult, was the victim near the Gas Line area.

Insiders claim that he was fatally stabbed during a fight between competing cult organizations in the neighborhood.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 11 p.m. after the dead and a suspected Buccaneer member named Corner got into a fight over money.

Troup, a suspected Vikings member who was apparently present at the incident, allegedly chose a side in the conflict and stabbed the victim.

The victim’s body was found the next morning, according to locals.

“I didn’t witness the clash,” said a homeowner who asked to remain anonymous for security reasons. It wasn’t until I returned that I realized someone had died.

A merchant who wished to remain anonymous added that; “We had closed for the day,”. We didn’t see the body until we went back to work the following morning. It happened at midnight.

It was learned that the community’s anxiety had increased in recent weeks as a result of repeated acts of violence tied to cults.

Suleiman, a different resident, stated that these kinds of instances have grown common.

“Over the past few weeks, we have been experiencing a series of cult attacks in the area,” he stated. There are numerous incidents, including the one that took place on Saturday.
