Dr. Olusegun Osinkolu, the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for Ekiti North Senatorial District in the 2027 elections, has promised to offer representation that is inclusive, accessible, and focused on the people if he wins.
Osinkolu stated that his election would aid in tackling what he referred to as the disregard of the senatorial district.
In a statement released in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the PDP candidate addressed audiences while touring the five local government areas of the district: Moba, Ido/Osi, Ilejemeje, Oye, and Ikole.
He vowed to tackle the purported backwardness of the district, which he linked to the casual attitude of its representatives in the National Assembly.
Osinkolu stated, “The senatorial election in 2027 offers the residents of this district a chance to drive change and address the stagnation by casting their votes wisely, supporting me as the right candidate, regardless of party affiliation with the PDP.”
“Should I receive the mandate, I will focus on empowering youth and women, ensuring quality education, enhancing healthcare services, advancing agricultural development, and enacting effective legislation to attract federal attention and deliver the benefits of democracy throughout Ekiti North.”
He praised PDP supporters throughout the district for their dedication and determination to contribute to the success of the party’s candidates statewide.
He voiced optimism regarding the party’s chances in the district, stating, “The PDP will certainly recover in the 2027 general elections with a decisive and overwhelming win in Ekiti North Senatorial District.”
The PDP candidate urged party members to stay united and strengthen grassroots mobilization prior to the elections, emphasizing that unity is key to the party’s campaign.
Osinkolu promised to validate the electorate’s trust if chosen, stating that their well-being would continue to be central in his choices.
