Adebanjo Samuel, a security guard in Lagos, has received praise for his outstanding integrity after retrieving a customer’s lost $9,100 while working at a First City Monument Bank branch in Marina, Lagos.
Proton Security Service Limited acknowledged the incident, which happened on May 25, 2026.
The organization claims that Adebanjo’s action has strengthened trust in the integrity, professionalism, and discipline of staff members stationed throughout its client sites.
“Adebanjo has been hailed as a true hero, showing that something great can still come out of here,” the statement said in part.
The corporation would reward the employee for his behavior, it further stated.
Proton Security has said that it will hold a special civic reception at its company headquarters in honor of this exceptional behavior.
Adebanjo will receive official recognition and rewards for his outstanding demonstration of integrity during the event. The event will unite coworkers, friends, family, industry stakeholders, and media representatives in commemoration of an extraordinary act of integrity, the statement continued.
In response, Odebunmi Adekunmi, Managing Director of Proton Security Service Limited, called Adebanjo’s deed a moment of pride for the company and an affirmation of its moral principles.
