The Institute of Capital Market Registrars announced that its 15th Annual Conference will center on enhancing capital market resilience and promoting sustainable growth beyond current recapitalisation initiatives.
In a statement released on Sunday by Mrs. Catherine Nwosu, the President and Chairman of the Council, ICMR, the conference will focus on the theme ‘Beyond Recapitalisation: Developing Resilient Institutions and a Sustainable Capital Market.’
Mr. Bismarck Rewane, the Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company Limited, is anticipated to present the keynote speech, providing essential perspectives on enhancing institutional capacity and promoting sustained market development.
Set for 14 November, the occasion will include the investiture of Fellows and the welcoming of new members into the institute.
The announcement highlighted that the single-day event will bring together essential industry leaders and stakeholders to discuss new market opportunities, innovation, institutional robustness, and the overall growth of capital markets.
It stated that the investiture and induction events will reinforce the institute’s dedication to elevated professional standards, ethics, and ongoing skill development.
The event also seeks to encourage strategic partnerships, knowledge sharing, and networking while emphasizing the crucial role registrars have in enhancing investor confidence, supporting market integrity, and strengthening a resilient Nigerian capital market.
A key feature of the conference will be a panel discussion centered on “Recapitalisation as a Driver for Institutional Resilience & Governance Reforms for Sustainable Growth.”
The session will bring together prominent industry stakeholders, including CSCS CEO Shehu Shantali, ICMR First Vice President Dr Kamal Okunola, CIS President Dr Fiona Ahimie, and NGX CEO Jude Chiemeke, alongside other key players in the market.
