The Federal Road Safety Corps’, Kaduna Sector Command has verified two fatalities that happened in a traffic accident along the Kaduna Western Bypass.
Andre Longkam, the Sector Commander, revealed this in his interview on Sunday in Kaduna.
He said that a DAF truck, a Honda car, and a motorcycle were involved in the collision, which happened near the Federal Eye Center Junction at around 1:45 p.m.
According to Longkam’s first findings, the rider and a passenger died when the Honda car struck the motorcycle.
“The crash claimed the lives of two people,” he stated.
He continued by saying that several angry young people caused more damage by setting the impacted cars on fire following the incident.
According to the sector commander, FRSC staff quickly arrived at the scene in coordination with the police to control traffic and restore order.
He claims that steps were taken to guarantee unrestricted traffic movement and stop future accidents.
Concerned about the collision, Longkam advised drivers to drive carefully, particularly on construction sites.
He urged vehicles to follow traffic laws and refrain from doing anything that could make an emergency worse.
The head of the FRSC stated that the command was still dedicated to guaranteeing road safety in the country and that the inquiry into the crash’s cause was still ongoing.
