The Kano State House of Assembly will review two more commissioner-nominees on Tuesday submitted by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for approval as members of the State Executive Council.
The nominees are anticipated to meet with the lawmakers at 10am on Tuesday, as stated by the Assembly’s Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, in a statement released on Monday.
“The statement indicated that the House of Assembly will proceed on Tuesday, as planned, to review the two commissioner-nominees put forward by the governor for approval.”
Shawai revealed that the House obtained a letter from the governor asking for the screening and confirmation of the two nominees.
“The screening will be carried out solely following the Constitutional provisions under the guidance of the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jibril Isma’il Falgore,” he stated.
“This procedure continues to be a vital constitutional duty of the Assembly to guarantee that only competent and qualified individuals become part of the State Executive Council,” the statement further highlighted.
