Barcelona have made an official offer to Borussia Dortmund for winger Karim Adeyemi, according to transfer journalists Fabrizio Romano and Gerard Romero.
Romano stated on X Thursday that discussions between the two clubs were still in progress, and Adeyemi was eager to transfer to Camp Nou.
“Karim Adeyemi reached an agreement with Barcelona and told BVB that his sole desire is to join Barça.”
“Adeyemi, whose contract expires in June 2027, has no intention of signing a new agreement,” Romano stated.
He mentioned that Barça had submitted their proposal and were waiting for Dortmund’s response.
The decision follows Barcelona’s acquisition of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, indicating that Hansi Flick’s team is still looking to bolster their offense this summer.
Last season, he scored 10 goals for Dortmund, contributed multiple assists, and is considered one of the quickest players in European football.
The interest in Adeyemi arises during doubts regarding Raphinha’s future with the team.
Barca Blaugranes stated that the Brazilian’s World Cup journey has concluded, allowing him to explore a potential transfer to Saudi Arabia, and speculated if Adeyemi’s joining might be connected to the club’s intentions for Raphinha.
Dortmund has not yet publicly replied to Barcelona’s offer.
