According to reports making the rounds online, the deceased was initially not part of the altercation. However, the suspect allegedly arrived after the fight had ended and attacked him with a broken bottle, stabbing him in the neck.
Kehinde, who was reportedly known among his acquaintances as a boxer, later died from the injuries he sustained.
Several social media users have reacted with shock and disbelief to the killing, with some alleging that the suspect had no involvement in the initial altercation.
One X user, @MVKAY2, claimed that the suspect only showed up after the fight had ended and unexpectedly stabbed the victim. The user also expressed frustration over attempts to introduce different versions of events, lamenting that the deceased had been caught up in a situation that did not initially concern him.
Another social media user, @omononaolapo, also claimed that the suspect was not part of the initial fight, expressing surprise that he was allegedly responsible for the stabbing.
Similarly, @Tunde, who identified the deceased as his brother, mourned his loss while criticising the alleged behaviour of some commercial motorcycle operators, claiming that they stood by and watched as the fight unfolded.
Confirming the incident on Monday, the Oyo State Police Command spokesperson, Olayinka Ayanlade, disclosed in a telephone interview with our correspondent that investigations into the incident were still ongoing.
