Omar Berrada, CEO of Manchester United, stated that the team’s return to the Champions League and solid financial results highlight the advancements made in the previous two years.
Despite the lack of European football last season, Berrada noted record revenues and adjusted EBITDA in a statement on X on Wednesday that accompanied the most recent financial results.
“We are happy to have achieved record revenues and adjusted EBITDA, which shows the underlying strength of our business, especially in a season without European football,” stated Berrada.
This demonstrates the immediate results of the work we have been doing for the previous two years. It also demonstrates Manchester United’s sustained appeal and financial might. Even though these findings show that we are headed in the right direction, we will keep up our strict approach to make sure our finances are sustainable.
The men’s team is now expected to return to Old Trafford for Champions League play, he continued, adding that the club has bolstered both the men’s and women’s teams during the summer transfer window.
“We have strengthened both our men’s and women’s teams during the summer window with that financial sustainability in mind, and our men’s team has witnessed the return of Champions League football to Old Trafford,” stated Berrada.
